Blue Tao Beach Hotel

The staff is so kind, the rooms not only clean but perfectly organized and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect- on the beach. You look out the balcony to truly the best view and the sunset was directly in front of our room. The breakfast is good and if you’re vegetarian you can always modify the order and they will make it happen. I fell in love with the place and definitely will come back and recommend!

Make sure you ask for a room without noise because we didn’t know that there is a bar right beside it, so people with sensitivity for noise will have a rough time. They do provide earplugs though.

Amazing view, central location, and i especially enjoyed the amazing staff - each of them is nice and professional. They helped me with tips, recommendations, and even few last minute requests with no issue - I really enjoyed my stay here and think it definitely worth the price - especially if you compare the experience to other hotels in the area

The staff was nice, the location was the best.The room was clean and the balcony that is facing the ocean really added a lot to the room (we took the sea view room).The breakfast was nice, we ordered avocado and eggs toast every breakfast.Transportation on the island is difficult if you don’t rent motorcycles which we didn’t. No grab or bolt taxis there. The hotel arranged us their driver to get to beaches and back when we wanted which was convenient, and took 700 baht go and back.Also they provided us snorkeling equipment for free, and beach towels.

My biggest complaint is the value-for-money, we paid 800 baht per night which is a price you get much more for in other places in Thailand. It just doesn’t justify the price, it’s a small place with small rooms and small bathrooms, that are a little old.

The hotel has a perfect location – right in the center and also directly on the beach. It offers the best of both worlds, making it very convenient and enjoyable to stay there.The staff was absolutely amazing and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They helped us with everything we needed and went out of their way to accommodate our requests. Their kindness and approach truly made our stay exceptional – they were simply wonderful in every way.

Perfect location. The resort is right on the beach and surrounded by restaurants, cafes and shops. Everything you need is there.

We stayed in city view rooms which are small, don’t have balconies and face the small alley behind the beach. It was very noisy from the evening until all bars closed at 2-3 am :( That’s why they provided 2 pairs of earplugs in the room. Light sleepers may prefer sea view rooms, but the price is double.

Nothing it’s as expected it’s on a small island so you can’t or don’t want it to be sprawling with all the mod cons but it has most anyway

The location of Blue Tao is among the best one can get on Ko Tao Island. Furthermore, the bed in our room was very confortable.

It looks like power outages are not uncommon on Ko Tao: that said, many hotels and restaurants on the island are provided with emergency power systems, but Blue Tao is not.During our stay, power outage occurred three times, on different days, in the evening, for a maximum of 2 hours or less each, causing an undeniable disconfort (we had no light and no AC in our room).Another unpleasant surprise was the breakfast: you have three options to choose from, as shown on a carboard, but you won't even get all the items you see in the pictures portraing each option. For instance, on the carboard, for all the options, you see orange juice and coffee, but you won't get both: you have to pick either coffee or orange juice (see the picture I attach to my review).That said, as you may guess, should you wish a coffe refill, it won't come free.All in all, Blue Tao is a nice place to stay, but the issues I mentioned above have to be known to the travelers.

Room dirty, smelly, ac not working properly, noisy at night (they give you earplugs), check in area dirty, breakfast not good.

Position is top, everything you need is around and is in the nicest area of Ko Tao.Get the sea view room and you won’t be disappointed. Rooms are big enough and very clean. Although in the center is very quiet.

Our first room was a street view and is a bit hard to stay on there with no balcony and no space to dry sun clothes or towels

room 101 is bordering a wall, where ALL the compressors for the AC are mounted. We didn't sleep at all that night. The hotel is next to a known party bar on Koh Tao. I didn't mind the music, but the AC humming was insufferable.
